NYFW Diary: Completing your look with High Fashion Eyewear

Going to New York Fashion Week has been a goal of mine from the start of the year. I wanted my very first season to be at a point of my career where my blog had reached a certain level of growth and with all the growth this year, I was ecstatic to finally cross NYFW off my bucket list.

And what an amazing, adrenaline filled experience it was!

My First New York Fashion Week

My first New York Fashion Week meant that I didn’t know what to expect. I was torn between my need for organization and planning, coupled with going with the flow. NYFW shows were definitely more organized and punctual than Fashion Weeks that I’ve attended prior. The caliber of designers were incredible and the overall atmosphere was insane. One of my favourite things was meeting new people from all over the globe!

I was literally running on coffee and adrenaline the entire week I was there, and if anything, I’m so glad that I pre-planned my outfits for each day ahead of time. Like the icing on the cake, I brought with me the perfect and most versatile statement eyewear to complete each look! For Fashion Week, I wanted eyewear that was timelessly stylish on it’s own but would also complement a variety of looks as I only brought 3 pairs. Practicality of the piece was also something I look for because I wanted to be comfortable wearing them throughout the week. The overall feel I wanted for my looks were fashion forward, larger framed, more uniquely shaped pieces of eyewear. I mean, what better time to experiment than at Fashion Week!

I am in love with Fendi eyewear for several reasons! It’s the perfect brand for uniquely shaped frames, and completely elevates any look it’s paired with. Equally in love with my Bvlgari pair which is a more classic piece and I paired it with my outfits that had more going on. Instead of overpowering the look, the Bvlgari pair helps balance everything out.
