So inspired by my recent experience, here are a couple tips to make the best of staying home sick!
1. Be okay with being sick
After getting over the grumpiness of not being able to get anything done this week, I decided to change my mindset and have fun being sick.
Have fun being sick?
Yes, I started feeling no guilt about sleeping most of the day, filling my body with water and wearing pyjamas all day everyday.
2. Catch up on being present
One thing I realized is that once you admit you’re sick, you start enjoying the free time. I ended up spending a lot more time doing laundry, cleaning my room, doing my nails, and talking to my family.
3. Netflix Binge
Mistresses + PLL catch up. Um, yea.
4. Make the most of working from home.
This might not apply to some of you, but the majority of my work is on the computer. So this meant, ample time to reply emails, creep accounts and write. Hence the upsurge of blog articles you now see.
5. Spend time to think
As much as I wanted to just work and work on the computer, I made the most of resting my pink eyes by just laying or sitting (whatever works) and thinking. Thinking about my goals, my plans, what to eat for dinner. Basically, I felt more recharged going back to work having had time to breathe and think.
So there ya are! I hope you don’t end up having Pink eye, or falling sick. But in the event that you do, You’ll make the most of it 😉
