Christina Grimmie has been making music and paving her way in the industry since starting out her Youtube channel a couple years back. With a distinctive and powerful voice, Christina finished third in the popular televised singing competition, The Voice- having Adam Levine as her coach for the season.
Since then, Christina has been everywhere, from reporting on the red carpet for The Voice and now joining Rachel Platten on her tour. Being a fan myself, I jumped at the opportunity to chat with this ray of sunshine!
I’ve always believed in the power of social media to connect people and so I took to Twitter to see if Christina’s fans had special questions for her!

Are you going on tour with Selena Gomez this year?
No I am not unfortunately.
When will the Matchbreaker Movie be released and also Side B?
I do not have exact dates yet, but in the very near future of 2016.
What makes your fans so special?
We share this strange and beautiful connection, I’m very interactive with them and it’s one of my favorite things about tour especially getting to meet them all.
Do you have plans for a SOLO tour?
Not yet but one day!
What is your favourite moment from the Wildfire tour?
Rachel Platten has a huge heart. She invited me up on stage on my birthday and surprised me by singing happy birthday to me and Eric Hutchinson who also joined onstage, and then even brought out a cake. It was unreal and I adore her.
What is the proudest achievement of your career so far?
Being on the iHeart radio stage was pretty huge for me. Had a blast and to be able to say I was up there performing because my fans voted me there is pretty dang cool. That and being able to go overseas to Europe for a co-headline tour.

yet?
Tour the world.
2. How has life been post-The Voice?
Incredible and very busy, I’ve been creating new music and performing everywhere. Currently on tour with Rachel Platten!
3. How was having Adam Levine your coach and a memory I’m sure
forever carved in your mind.
He was the best choice for me, just a really cool guy and a great mentor for me. I knew that personality-wise we would get along well and he’d understand me as a person. And he totally did.
4. What is a day in the life of Christina Grimmie
Switches around from a lot of music making, to singing freestyle karaoke in my room, going out with family, some video games and some anime.
5. You started out on Youtube, talk about making your own chances 😉
Yeah I had a lot of free reign to do whatever I wanted to do, mostly taking requests from the fans and being interactive. And yes it’s crazy that I’ve come so far just from posting videos!
7. When you close your eyes and think about the best thing you can be,
what do you see?
The best role model for the people who respect and look up to me. It isn’t all rainbows and butterflies all the time, it’s the testing of strength, willpower and faith half the time. But I hustle because I care about people and about what I do.
8. Is there one song that to this day, still inspires you to do what you do?
Not a song, really, as much as certain artists. For instance my two top inspirations for pushing forward and doing what I love are Rachel Platten & Ed Sheeran.
