Valentines: We are most alive when we are in love – Unknown
I’ve always believed that every day should be Valentines– A day to share love with the people closest to you! So this year, I took the question to Facebook and asked you what Your Funniest Valentines memories are! Take a read and you might find yours here 😉
A collection of Funny (or not) Valentines
1. Those little cards you got in elementary school. Where everyone got a VDay gram! Lol
2. A couple years ago, a few of us had a singles dinner and turns out 2 of my friends liked each other at the time. Shortly after that dinner they started dating and they’re still dating up until now! *insert warm and fuzzy emoticons and feelings* I thought that was pretty cute hehe
3. DIY hot rock massages! (We had a kit) at home
4. Dallas Smith with my mom!
5. Last year I was single and my best guy friends took me to lunch then to a gun range
6. A long time ago I dated a guy who didn’t “believe” in Valentine’s day. On February 14th, he met me at my place of work and admitted he was being silly and bought me a gift. He then proceeded to take the gifts out of his pocket (not individually wrapped or anything) and handed me two bracelets and other jewelry with the outmost sense of accomplishment. I was not impressed…
7. We went to a rock climbing class to get our belay tickets
8. Us buying each other roses and a little teddy bear (awww, I remember this)
10. Last Valentines, I threw a “Dateless With Denai” party and organized a big night out for 16 different single Vancouver babes!! Champagne, roses, chocolate covered strawberries, a night of dancing…It was AWESOME!!! My best Valentines ever!!!
11. I participated in the blood drive organized by Hootsuite right on February 14th! I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s Day but I hope the blood I donated that day helped someone to spend another day with their loved ones!
It wouldn’t be right to not share one of my own so lets go back in time to when I was in high school, where we could send secret Valentines roses and bears (and it could be anonymous) and it would be placed on our desks in class! I remember me not wanting to not get anything and so I made a pack with my desk partner/ best friend to buy each other roses + bears and pretend that they were anonymous ahah! I think our fake-surprised looks were very well rehearsed!
All these great memories warmed my heart because there are so many ways to celebrate and totally not limited to only a romantic relationship, heck, most of my Valentines were spent with some amazing ladies + wine!
Comment below and tell me YOUR funniest Valentines!
