Daysen Winter x Juice Truck x BC Children’s Hospital
Christmas is hands down my favourite holiday, even better than my birthday! One huge reason for that is that besides the music, the decorations, Christmas drinks and funky sweaters, Christmas is a great time to spend thinking about others.
How perfectly placed it is close to the new year, when one can reflect and embrace not only the good but also the challenges throughout the year, and look forward to another year filled with possibilities! It is a great time to give back with what we have and start off the year right!
An event to bookmark for this Saturday is the Daysen Winter Toy Drive in support and partnership with the BC Children’s Hospital and The Juice Truck!
Details for this great event of giving back is as follows;
When: Saturday December 20th 12-4pm
Where: 28 West 5th Avenue Vancouver (Between Manitoba & Ontario)
Please bring a new and unwrapped toy donation.
All guests that donate will receive 20% OFF of any Daysen Winter
purchases that day.
Along with the toys, Daysen Winter will also be donating a portion of
the days proceeds to the BC Children’s hospital.
If you haven’t heard of Daysen Winter, here are some fun facts!
Daysen Winter prides itself on providing women with beautiful clothing
that is not easily accessible for women in the Lower Mainland.
It all started when Teri Wachtel (The Founder) left her job at the Lululemon head office to go on maternity leave. Wachtel had always wanted a store of her
own, but knew that opening up a brick and mortar was risky in today’s
tech world. So she turned to the Internet.
With a newborn baby, a brand new house, and zero investors, finding
the seed capital for her first clothing order was tough. How would she
do this with an infant strapped to her all day? When her husband
suggested she sell some of her own clothes to fund her first purchase,
a light bulb went off, and she sold his bike instead.
Since that day, Daysen Winter has grown organically. After just three
short months in business, the store is already fielding orders from
New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and the UK. She has caught the
attention of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” cast members on
Twitter, and has formed partnerships with both local and international
influential fashion bloggers.
Daysenwinter.com is being passed from girl to girl as a reliable
place to find that perfect piece.
