If you follow more than one fashion blogger on Instagram in Vancouver, chances are you’d see photo backdrops that almost seem similar and/or shot in similar locations. There are a couple picturesque locations but many seem to be centered in a select number of locations. Coloured walls are a big hit, stark colour contrasts, cool structures, and the list goes on!
Here are the 5 Most Common Locations in Vancouver for outfit shots!
1. Granville Island
The coloured walls and different wall textures are pretty much at every corner you turn. The alley ways have less foot traffic as well so it helps not having a crowd taking pictures of you getting pictures taken (did I say this right, haha)
2. Vancouver Art Gallery steps
The steps at the Art Gallery are easily accessible and adds that artsy feel to your pictures- hence ‘art gallery’ ahaha!
3. Middle of the road
Oh you know, if the streets are empty and you’re not at risk of getting run over, WHY NOT?
4. Random Alleyways
Hold your breath, might be stinky but some of my favourite shots were taken in alley ways!
5. Gastown
Pretty much a given. Gorgeous lights, and European vibes- it makes some pretty amazing shots – you can see some of the ones I took with Thomas HERE
Now you know where to find us 🙂

We never tried taking pictures at Granville before, but really want to. We only go there to eat.. Haha fish burger and fruits.
The Art gallery we did 🙂
In the middle of the road sounds a bit scary but think we will have to try 🙂
Thanks for all the tips !
